Snow sometimes makes commuting greener mandatory

Lyon_Primatiale_Saint_Jean_Sous_la_Neige_2_

It’ snowing in Lyon, France! As most of my colleague, I had to choose to commute greener because I had no other choice! As it does not snow that often in Lyon, our bus network has been paralysed almost all day.

Two behaviours have been chosen among my colleagues : some of them took their car (and 3 hours) to go to the office. Some of them, like me, chose to walk (around 20mn for me) and take the fresh air ; some of them, chose to work from home.

It is very interesting to consider thatworking from home also means a lot of CO2 reduction, as a interesting side effect. The debate is open for some years now, on the subject, but here is another interesting element, as cities now try to concentrate buildings in order to avoid people taking their car too often : ain’t working from home sometimes the best solution ?

  1. What a beautiful picture from Lyon!
Regards from a Gothenburg that has “only” -5 degrees Celsius today.
Warmer than Lyon, that is what I call a climate change!

    Commute Greener!
